–1997-2000: Internal student at the Institute of Internal Medicine of the University of Siena (inpatient and outpatient care in Internal Medicine) - 2000-2005: Fellow at the Department of Internal Medicine Endocrine-Metabolic Sciences and Biochemistry of the University of Siena. Served as physician (inpatient and outpatient care in Internal Medicine), participated in training medical students and conducted research activities in internal Medicine, bone metabolism and molecular biology (Genetics of Osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone)- 2005-2009: post-graduate fellowship at the Department of Internal Medicine, Endocrine-Metabolic Sciences and Biochemistry,University of Siena (Clinical, teaching and research activity) in Internal Medicine (MED09). -2009-2012: PhD fellowship University of Siena -2013: post-doc fellowship at the Department of Medicine Surgery and Neurosciences University of Siena -2014-to date: post-graduate fellowship at Age Related Diseseas Unit, Fondazione Centro San Raffaele, Milan, Italy and Department of Medicine Surgery and Neurosciences, Unversity of Siena, Italy

She participated as co-investigator at different research projects on the genetics of different skeletal disorders including osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone. Due to her recognized expertise in this field she has been invited as speaker at national and international meetings and she has been author of several articles and editorials in major peer-reviewed journals
